Job Title: Risk and Safety Manager
Department: Loss Prevention
Reports to: Vice President of Risk and Safety
The Risk and Safety Manager is responsible for the various areas within Risk and Safety to include, audits inspections, workers comp and general liability claims management, and assist with ongoing safety efforts at Camelback Resort for guest and employees. The Manager will manage the payroll, scheduling and assignments of Risk and Safety coordinator. Follow directives from the Director of Risk and Safety

How I can create Guests for Life:
- Work closely with the departments, contractors, and Loss Prevention members to reduce hazards and improve safety performance.
- Conduct safety inspections/walkthroughs and monitor department activities.
- Champion the completion of safety related requirements, including Incident reporting, JSA (Job Safety Analysis), LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) procedures, and CS (Confined Space) entry documentation, SDS and facility chemical inventory. Assistance includes training, and teamwork as appropriate.
- Follow up on all issues arising out of new accidents involving Guests using root cause analysis and science-based decision making to adjust operations and minimize a reoccurrence.
- Tracking of incident metrics, analyzing trends of incidents/injuries using root cause analysis and science-based decision making, and present recommendations of corrective actions to the Director of Risk and Safety.
- Prepare and conduct safety training sessions.
Prepare and conduct safety portions of daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal Service Guidelines and Checklists.
- Assist safety, claims management and regulatory compliance efforts, with testing, tracking, and reporting as necessary.
- Manage the following Safety Programs:
- Contractor Safety Program
- Create and maintain the policy and procedures.
- Track and record certificates of insurance.
- Ensure that contractors are OSHA compliant.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Program
- Maintain the PPE Matrix by department.
- Quarterly audit tracking of all PPE.
- Train the Safety and Risk Coordinator to maintain and audit.
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Program
- Record and update JSA’s by department with the assistance of the Safety Committee.
- Safety Committee
- Assist the Director of Risk and Safety with leading the Safety Committee.
- Help department representatives with JSA’s, PPE, safety audits and all other safety initiatives.
- Develop appropriate safety training for the Designated Coach Program.
- Assist the Director of Risk and Safety with any other safety initiatives and programs.
- Ability to conduct inspections and audits to evaluate the safety protocols followed throughout the resort to protect guest and employees.
- Assist with the Safety Committee and Chairpersons on developing the safety culture with behavior-based safety approach.
- Attend regular meetings with claims, attorneys, and insurance partners to discuss updates on claims.
- Manage the distribution of ice trekkers during the winter season to all associates.

- Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills for managing of files.
- Education, training and or experience with OSHA, Fire Life Safety, EPA and other Risk and Safety related organizations.
