  • Position Summary

    This Assistant Vice President position will lead the Risk Strategic Planning team and will be a key contributor to defining and executing the long-term strategic roadmap for the Risk organization at Credit One Bank. This role will ensure the Risk Management vision and roadmap aligns with the overall long-term strategic vision of the bank. Responsibilities include evaluating over all business strategy, developing strategic plans and goals, assessing performance, conducting research and data analysis to inform business decisions, and tracking departmental progress toward goals.

    Summary of Essential Job Functions

    • Support the entire Risk organization in a cross-functional manner
    • Understand and shape the Risk strategy vision
    • Set objectives, assess capabilities, determine course of action, formulate initiatives, generate and revise the roadmap
    • Assess financial forecasts and key levers for growth
    • Develop plans to materialize strategy and analyze business proposals
    • Research competition to identify threats and opportunities
    • Assess the Risk organizations operational and strategic performance
    • Align processes, resources-planning, and department goals with overall strategy
    • Lead a team to analyze process performance and recommend improvements
    • Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes
    • Work with senior executives to make effective decisions
    • Monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes
    • Assess current state, define future state, and execute
    • Partner and collaborate with various departments across the bank
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Position Requirements

    • Strategic thinking is the most important skill in this role
    • 8 years of strategic planning, strategy development, and/or analytical experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related field
    • Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude
    • Proven track record managing a high performing team of analysts
    • Understanding of market research and data analysis
    • Knowledge of business operations and procedures
    • Strong understanding of the credit card business is preferred
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Organizational and leadership skills
    • Experience using the Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
