    We are in search of an Agriculture Loan Officer I, II, or III to join our California Lending and Insurance department in Paso Robles, California. This full-time position reports to the SVP, Portfolio Manager and is accountable for providing analysis, guidance, and approvals on loans of various size and complexity to member-borrowers.

    This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period.

    Compensation Information

    The base salary range for this position in Paso Robles, California is:

    Level I: $69,000 - $105,000; bonus at target is 12% of salary.

    Level II: $76,000 - $119,000; bonus at target is 15% of salary.

    Level lll: $94,000 - $149,000; bonus at target is 20% of salary.

    Job Requirements

    • Evaluate and analyze commercial and real estate loan applications and recommend loan approvals an denials.
    • Responsible for existing credit risk assessment and management on loans within area of responsibility.
    • Conduct/complete complex credit analysis.
    • Establish loan structure and terms, conditions and covenants, and collateral requirements consistent with credit request and associated risks. Set clear expectations with the customer.
    • Assist senior-level credit officers with complex loan applications as necessary.
    • Develop and maintain a significant professional presence throughout the assigned territory.
    • Material participation in business development activities, originate new loans, pursue new credit relationships, and maintain/expand existing customer relations.
    • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in business or ag-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Ability to read or learn to read audited financial statements, legal opinions, tax records and other financials
    • Ability and willingness to learn and proficiently apply various credit analysis tools and customer recordkeeping systems
    • Demonstrated computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Effective interpersonal skills including communication and relationship building
    • Ability to convey information, including in writing and in-person
    • Ability to travel to perform certain required duties
    • Valid driver's license

    Preferred Requirements

    • Previous work experience in the Farm Credit System, commercial banking, agriculture, or dairy
    • Broad knowledge of credit and financing alternatives and the ability to analyze all components on standard and complex credit
    • Demonstrated decision-making skills as well as strong interpersonal, communication, customer service and team skills
    • Effective problem-solving skills as well as effective negotiating, influencing, and marketing skills
