Critical Care Director directs the staff and programs of the critical care unit. Develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for critical care services and programs. Being a Critical Care Director ensures quality care to patients. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Critical Care Director typically reports to top management. The Critical Care Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Critical Care Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Care Coordination: Work with the healthcare team to plan comprehensive patient care.
- Medication Administration Expertise: Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately.
- Comprehensive Bedside Care: Provide essential bedside assistance and monitor vital signs.
- Vigilant Patient Monitoring: Keep a close eye on patient conditions, reporting any changes promptly.
- Effective Communication and Advocacy: Relay vital patient information to families and advocate for their needs.
Qualifications:
- Active California RN license
- 6 months to 1 year of relevant Critical Care nursing experience
- CPR or BLS Certification
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Recent Physical and TB Test (within one year)
- Willingness to travel within a 20-30 mile radius
- Valid Driver's License or State ID
- Full COVID vaccination with booster shot

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Per diem
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
