Job Description
Candidate must be able to oversee the day-to-day operations of the after-school and summer program, and maintain all OCFS regulations. Children are on-site from 2:00pm – 5:30pm weekdays, and 7:30am – 5:30pm during the summer and most school holidays. This position serves under the leadership of the church pastor and church board. Competitive compensation available. Job Responsibilities of this role are as follows:
❖ Meet the educational requirements as stated by NYS OCFS. At least an associate degree in Child Development, Education, or a related field.
❖ Have supervisory experience working with children ages 5 to 12 years.
❖ Be knowledgeable about the School Age after school OCFS regulations.
❖ Manage all communications from the parents through email and text.
❖ Be available to the parents at all reasonable times, not just during program hours.
❖ Work closely with the teaching staff and provide support as needed.
❖ Plan and purchase a weekly snack for up to 40 children.
❖ Work with Guilderland School District as needed.
❖ Learn and utilize the Family and Tuition tracking system in place.
❖ Maintain all children’s files and other required documents used in the program.
❖ Oversee staff training hours as well as your own as required by OCFS.
❖ Be available to work full days on school closings and holidays.
❖ Obtain and maintain First-Aid and CPR.
❖ Track and maintain program supplies and order as needed.
❖ Oversee program plans and activities created by staff.
❖ Maintain the program environment, cleanliness and organization.
❖ Work closely with the church pastor.
❖ Must be organized, flexible and professional at all times.
❖ Establish strong parent partnerships.
❖ Strong communication skills
