The Curriculum Developer II conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Being a Curriculum Developer II develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. In addition, Curriculum Developer II writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Curriculum Developer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Position Summary:

    The Nursing Curriculum Developer is responsible for curriculum development for new and existing programs at Education Affiliates (EA). The Nursing Curriculum Developer facilitates and manages the process of curriculum development to produce quality online and residential courses. They are responsible for preparing courses, developing educational resources, and course revisions that address the specific nursing curriculum requirements, including integrating and aligning the selected learning resources, products, and functionalities that support the effective delivery of the nursing programs. This position works closely with the Deans and faculty at the campuses that offer Nursing Programs. The Nursing Curriculum Developer reports to the Senior Director of Learning Solutions to ensure that the nursing courses are well-designed and contain the appropriate instructional materials.

    Requirements

    Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:

    • A master degree in nursing is required; graduate-level work in curriculum design is recommended, and a doctorate degree is highly preferred.
    • Active, unencumbered nursing license.
    • Strong instructional design skills.
    • Minimum of three years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development and/or program administration in the nursing education sector.
    • Ability to apply best practices to enhance user experience, including accessibility requirements.
    • Ability to establish effective relationships and collaborate with other staff at all levels of an organization.
    • Ability to facilitate groups and meetings in person and remotely.
    • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills
    • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in technology-driven documents and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Office suite, web conferencing, and cloud-based tools.

    Location:

    Our corporate offices are in White Marsh Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore. This role is mostly remote with travel to the corporate offices, campuses, as well as to trainings/conferences. Candidates must be located within the continental US.
