The Curriculum Developer II conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Being a Curriculum Developer II develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. In addition, Curriculum Developer II writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The temporary Curriculum Coordinator position is a one-of-a-kind opportunity. You will work closely with executive leadership, faculty, physicians and many other vital departments as additional clerical support.
Role/Responsibilities:
● Effectively manage MEB room calendars for space & facility usage required for instruction and required activities.
● Manage course information on UNLV Webcampus systems; e.g. syllabi and lectures, presentations materials, etc.
● Assist with other duties as assigned; such as scheduling classrooms, reserving space, emailing students, etc
● Assist with exam scheduling, accommodations, exam purchases, and other related proctor support.
● Manage grades and score reports and posting in UNLV WebCampus (CAnvas) and MedHub.
● Oversee proctoring schedules, supplies, and support.
● Assisting with the dissemination and collection of student performance evaluations.
● Maintain recording system for course outcomes, feedback, and surveys.
● Communicate basic science curriculum changes with registrar/enrollment, faculty, program leads, students, etc
● All other duties as needed
Required Qualifications and Experience:
● One to three (1-3) years of full-time professional work experience in an educational setting or administrative office.
● Knowledge and prior experience in supporting higher education programs preferred, but not required. Familiarity with learning management platforms, and the Google suite.
● Bachelor’s degree preferred
