Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. SUMMARY: Assists in development of secondary instructional programs and curriculum, and K-12 student experiences; assists in planning and implementation of staff development; supervises appropriate personnel as needed; responsible for grants management, including program development and budget oversight.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following):
1. Collaboration as a member of the curriculum department team
2. Collaborates with the EHS Associate Principal for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment to coordinate secondary education classroom programs
3. Collaborates with middle school administration on middle school programming
4. Coordinates curriculum and development projects
5. Assists in planning and implementation of staff development related to programs, grants, curriculum and technology
6. Analyzes student assessment data and generates reports and recommendation on improvement of all aspects of service
7. Supports principals in the development and implementation of School Improvement Plans
8. Leads the Student Experiences Team
9. Coordinates elementary specialists and leads the elementary master scheduling team
10. Works directly with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to complete other duties as assigned

Grants Management
The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for timely and accurate management of assigned state and federal grants, including:
· The electronic application process
· All budget requirements including filing amendments and required program allocations
· Submission of performance reports
· Management of expenditures related to grant guidelines
Staff Development
The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for:
· Leading curriculum teams in researching and developing all instructional materials and resources
· Coordinating professional development
· Supporting instructional coaches and department chairs
Curriculum Development
The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for effectively leading curriculum committees and must possess the:
· Ability to conduct full-day curriculum meetings with committees and complete projected goals for each step of the process
· Ability to effectively articulate and communicate the District's vision for curriculum development
· Ability to cultivate evidence-based knowledge through extensive reading, thorough research, and guiding teams during professional workshops. This expertise is applied with the specific aim of augmenting teachers' understanding of research-based instructional practices.
Data Analysis
The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for:
· Supporting building administrators in gathering, interpreting, disaggregating, and communicating student data to teachers and parents
· Maintaining skills in use of District data management systems
· Work collaboratively across departments to foster MTSS structures
Management of Curriculum Office Responsibilities
The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for:
· Maintaining regular communication with administration on assigned projects at the middle and high school levels
· Managing and evaluating instructional materials projections, and purchases of instructional materials
· Collaborating with secondary buildings to maintain and update curriculum course maps, state reporting data, and assessment procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Appropriate Illinois Certification (Type 75)
2. Previous administrative experience
3. Previous central office experience preferred
4. Superior work habits and work ethic – self motivated and organized
5. Excellent communications skills – written and verbal
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 20-40 pounds on a regular repetitive basis.
2. Must be able to multi-task and manage numerous ongoing projects.
3. Must be able to speak, hear, see, write, walk, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull and reach (above head and below knees) on a regular and repetitive basis.
4. Tasks require extensive use of hands including repetitive gripping, grasping, lifting and manipulation of equipment necessary to perform duties.
