The Curriculum Developer II conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Being a Curriculum Developer II develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. In addition, Curriculum Developer II writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Curriculum Developer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Job Description Summary

    The Curriculum Developer is responsible for creating and developing engaging eLearning courses & resources that align with the overall course development of the GROW catalog, client and third-party courses. This includes all processes of course development, in addition to compliance management & liaising with outside experts and vendors. This position reports directly to the Vice President E Learning & Development.

    What You’ll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)

    • Create and develop new courses in the GROW catalog.
    • Design & develop courses from conception of the course to the executed final production. This process may include:
    • Design & develop course storyboards and templates.
    • Research topics and script creation when needed.
    • Working with script writers on content and script. Script approval.
    • Sourcing and choosing voice actors and working with actors on voice overs and submitting scripts.
    • Both animating courses and developing videos as well to create a fully executed course from the script and voice over.
    • Working and coordinating with translators for course conversions in additional languages.
    • Convert courses into a second language if applicable and necessary.
    • Creating course handouts and content & revise & update as needed.
    • Developing creative visuals for courses and course thumbnails, as well as any additional assets needed.
    • Manage SCORM output of files and compatibility.
    • It is the responsibility of the Curriculum Developer to work with the Vice President to ensure all newly developed and approved courses are added into Absorb with all appropriate course segments for learners, as well as any course updates.
    • E-Learning Management:
      • Ensure all content is compliant and current.
      • Monitor State and Federal guidelines, updates and law changes for all Harassment and Fair Housing content. This may involve working and collaborating with attorneys and legal professionals as well as the Vice President.
      • Ensure any urgent updates to handouts and courses if applicable, are completed.
      • Ensure all client licensed or purchased SCORM files are updated as needed.
      • Brainstorm new GROW courses, content and gamification features.
      • Perform audits of GROW courses when needed.
      • Review and manage course feedback, result reports and take appropriate action if needed.
      • Make appropriate edits to current courses when needed.

    What We’re Looking For (Minimum qualifications)

    • Minimum 3-year experience in media/video and graphic design in creating SCORM files.
    • Minimum 3–5-year experience with SCORM requirements and settings.
    • Minimum 3-year experience creating with Articulate Storyline & it’s authoring products.
    • Experience in eLearning animation & motion graphics strongly preferred.
    • Expert-level command of course authoring tools and course development methodologies.
    • Experience in video production and software to create video-based learning experiences.
    • Advanced working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products with a focus on Excel and Word.
    • Basic knowledge of learning management systems.
    • Demonstrate levels of high creativity.
    • Highly self-motivated and directed.
    • Project management experience.
    • Strong attention to detail and proofreading.
    • Attentive with timelines.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Remote office experience.
    • Must be creative with visuals and course creation aligned with the GROW objectives.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of other E-Learning authoring tools such as Captivate, Vyond and others.
    • Keep current with new trends in the eLearning industry and Property Management industry.
    • Work with all GROW team members for unified support and feedback on GROW courses.
