Curriculum Manager manages the design and development of training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Oversees skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Manager consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Manager provides outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Participates in the selection of software or collaboration tools used for training. Establishes metrics used to evaluate training effectiveness and analyzes outcomes to determine ROI and recommend changes to programs. May select and manage vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Curriculum Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Curriculum Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Regional Sales Manager (Curriculum)

  • This position is designed to increase the CTE and ELL footprint in new and existing accounts. The Regional Manager is responsible for managing sales for a variety of instructional materials, programs, and services to public schools and districts within a designated territory and managing the Territory Manager team. The Regional Manager will work with team members to grow their sales and increase footprint in their area and will be responsible for finding new clients and driving our solutions into their curriculum decisions. This position will work hand in hand with the K12 team to promote our solutions throughout the country. The Regional Manager will responsible for gaining a understanding of the products and solutions in the CTE and ELL space. This individual will create and execute a business plan to increase sales to meet growth expectations.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • 25% Regional Management
    • Oversee the CTE sales Team
    • Work with Marketing to develop key campaigns to deliver leads to the team
    • Manage HR requests and approvals
    • Forecast on behalf of the team
    • 75% Territory Sales:
    • Manage existing clients and find new business for a specific geographic region.
    • Meeting and surpassing sales goals, with the ability to develop and build relationships to grow the business.
    • Delivering successful presentations to promote our products and services.
    • Overcome objections and resolve concerns.
    • Attend local events and tradeshows to support territory growth.
    • Forecast monthly, quarterly and end of year.
    • Work with the Onboarding and Support teams to improve customer satisfaction.

    Position will travel 20% to 30%

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Must have a proven track record of making their number
    • Management experience required
    • Must have impressive presentation skills
    • Must be detail driven and organized
    • Capable of managing multiple clients

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or education preferred.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years sales experience preferred.
    • Sales or sales support experience in the education or learning products market a plus
    • Understanding of the use of technology in education.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Performance driven and results oriented
    • Work well under heavy sales pressure
    • Enjoys working with others
    • Excellent oral, written, time management and presentation skills
    • Microsoft Office Certification, Communications Skills for Business Certification, Entrepreneurship for Small Business Certification preferred
    • Experience with CRM database

    Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

    Minimum full-time salary range is between $60,000 - $145,000.
