Curriculum Manager manages the design and development of training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Oversees skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Manager consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Manager provides outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Participates in the selection of software or collaboration tools used for training. Establishes metrics used to evaluate training effectiveness and analyzes outcomes to determine ROI and recommend changes to programs. May select and manage vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Curriculum Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Curriculum Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary and Qualifications

    This position provides the training and development of prelicensure nursing theory faculty in their role of facilitating learning and meeting the identified outcomes of their assigned course(s).

    Position Responsibilities

    • Assists faculty in their transition from general orientation to course‐specific content and recommended teaching strategies.
    • Work with the Test Development Specialists to assist faculty in their use of item analysis and outcome data to improve the teaching‐learning process.
    • Assist the Associate Directors of Curriculum and Faculty Development to create content for faculty such as guides, templates, and instructional materials to improve content delivery in the classroom through the Curriculum Integration Specialist team.
    • Collaborate with Instructional Technology Support Specialists and Faculty Development to create assets for Galen’s Faculty All Access, as needed.
    • Assist the faculty with their review and revision of content in collaboration with the Instruction Technology Support Specialists (i.e., Galen All Access, Faculty Companion Courses) for currency and relevance for faculty use.
    • Collaborate with Faculty Development to develop workshops, training, learning communities, and other developmental resources designed to facilitate faculty members’ use of teaching best practices.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements

    • Education: Doctoral Degree from an accredited institution (preferred); Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, required; Documentation as an NLN Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), preferred.
    • Unencumbered Licensure: Applicable state as a Registered Nurse.
    • Special Qualifications: Five (5) years current experience as a Registered Nurse; two (2) years current teaching experience in a prelicensure nursing education setting; organizational and planning skills, knowledge of the function and operation of a multi‐campus organization.
    • Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: The position requires mental activity, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating, and decision‐making. Physical demands in the office are minimal and considered sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying such articles as records, files, and books (10 pounds maximum). Operation of standard office equipment, such as phones, computers, and printers/scanners, occurs on a frequent basis.
    • Degree of Supervision: Minimal.
