Curriculum Specialist jobs in Utah

Curriculum Specialist designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Responsibilities

    • Assist in maintaining a library of correlation documentation (including playlists)
    • Collaborate across teams to support the development of content
    • Collaborate with teams to identify gaps and to align digital instruction with national and state standards
    • Complete special projects as needed/assigned
    • Manage multiple, simultaneous projects
    • Continuously champion, promote, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion through all related job functions
    • Collaborate on and contribute to organizational DEI efforts and goals

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in education
    • 2 years of experience in an educational setting
    • Broad understanding of state standards
    • Experience aligning content to state standards
    • Experience with Excel and Google suite
    • Self-starter with a proven track record of attention to detail
    • Willingness to travel for team meetings or presentations a few times per year
    • Preferred experience supporting documentation for sales, RFPs, or other grant approvals
    • Preferred familiarity with OneDrive, Jira, and Confluence

    Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate paying between $65,000 - 75,000 for this full time position based on the education, experience and skill level of the individual we hire. In addition to your base salary Waterford has an annual bonus program. We offer a phenomenal benefits package that includes fully paid primary premiums for health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, and disability insurance. New hires receive a one-time HSA contribution. Retirement contributions are matched up to 5% by the organization. Plus, a generous vacation, sick, and holiday offering.
