Curriculum Specialist, Sr. designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     JOB SUMMARY

    Process work comp audits including complex and multi-state audits. Process non-automated work comp renewals and PCR’s. Underwrite work comp audits.

     

    POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Process complex, multi-state work comp audits.
    • Process pro-rated and short rated audits.
    • Process changes to policies based on audit results.
    • Process the non-automated work comp, renewals, and PCR’s.
    • Process final audits for non-payment.
    • Process routine work comp audits.
    • Process MinistryFirst audits.
    • Underwrite church audits.
    • Compile and send test audit information to various work comp bureaus and follow up on responses.
    • Be available to help with training and answer questions from work comp processors.
    • Interact with MinistryWorks for PayGo audits.
    • Complete other projects as assigned.

    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

    • Ability to make independent decisions.
    • Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Effectively interface with external contacts, Brotherhood employees, managers, and department staff members.

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Must have high school degree or equivalent.
    • One to two years of work comp audit experience.
    • Associate’s degree is desired.
    • AINS, AU and/or CPCU designation is desired.
    • Three or more years of work comp audit experience is desired.
