Curriculum Specialist, Sr. designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     We are looking for an experienced safety professional with exposure to construction/similar industries to join our growing Safety Department overseeing the TN/AL locations of Eagle Fire. 

    Must be willing to travel and local to Nashville, Knoxville, or Chattanooga, TN.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists the Safety Manager in facilitating an injury and incident-free workplace by evaluating, monitoring, accounting for, and assisting with all aspects of occupational safety programs and site safety.
    • Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and vehicles for safety compliance
    • Conduct job site safety inspections
    • Conduct worksite risk assessments, identifying and controlling potential hazards
    • Investigate safety incidents as they arise
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, IMSHA, EM-385
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Self-starter, able to work independently
    • 4 years of relevant experience and/or training
    • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Must possess a practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.
    • Must interact well with all levels of individuals, internally and externally.
    • Must possess the ability to handle change, resolve conflict and solve problems as they arise with minimal direction.
    • Must possess excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Professional programs and applicable database programs
    • Must be able to work in extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
    • Must be able to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels.
