Summary of Role

The Custodial Services Team Member ensures a clean and sanitary environment for customers and staff throughout the CROPP Cooperative and its facilities. This role must demonstrate excellent customer service as they may interact directly with customers and staff throughout the day and night.  This position will require flexibility to work day or evening hours and occasional weekends. This role is safety sensitive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility to include but not limited to:
• Operate standard custodial equipment designated for all surfaces
• Floor maintenance of all facilities
• Daily cleaning of restrooms, ensuring supplies are stocked
• Remove trash/recyclables in proper dumpsters as needed between regular daily trash collections
• Maintain clean trash/recyclables containers
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchenettes and monitor dishwashers
• Clean employee break area tables and chairs
• Routine monitoring of tables, shelves, exposed surfaces, and chairs in all meeting rooms and customer areas
• Maintain OSHA and safety training requirements as directed by CROPP Cooperative
• Complete documents specific to audit requirements per location

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with set up and clean up after special events as assigned
• Review inventory and communicate needed supplies to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous custodial experience and operation of equipment preferred
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment as necessary
• Must have good organizational skills
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand and walk frequently through standard shift
• Ability to reach overhead and bend and stoop frequently
• Ability to work at all CROPP Cooperative facilities including LaFarge, Chaseburg, Cashton, and Hillsboro locations as needed
• Ability to work flexible hours and locations
• Ability to read and interpret documents specific to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have basic computer skills
• Proper use of all equipment and chemicals required
