Job Summary
The HIMS Clerk is responsible for accurate and timely clerical and filing duties in the HIMS area including inpatient and outpatient records and statistical, and secretarial functions as directed that may include DRG/APC, data entry, Daily Census, and assisting with Performance Improvement projects as directed.
Position Qualifications
High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent, basic typing and filing skills, working knowledge of medical terminology and the English language, Bilingual in Spanish preferred, basic knowledge of PC computer functions and word processing such as Microsoft Word2000 or equivalent and spreadsheet software such as Excel.
