Direct Admissions, Recruitment, and Retention Efforts:
Develop and implement strategies, programs, and processes to support graduate student admissions, recruitment, and related processes.
Plan and oversee activities in the areas of recruitment, admissions, financial aid, and retention efforts.
Direct coordination with other University constituents to ensure alignment with overall strategies and policies.
Direct coordination with the student services team in the College to ensure a smooth transition for students as they matriculate into their graduate program.
Travel when necessary to recruitment events and appropriate conferences as needed.
Develop rapport with graduate applicants, communicate well when managing requests for information about the College and its graduate programs, and provide highly responsive individualized assistance.
Provide plans for graduate assistantships for select incoming graduate students, in coordination with others in the College.
Guide students as they navigate financial aid and scholarship disbursements.
Collaborate with campus partners including Graduate College, Arizona International, Arizona Global, Registrar, Academic Initiatives and Student Success, Veterans Affairs, Bursar, and Financial Aid to support all student applicants.
Maintain knowledge of University academic polices, regulations, and resources. At this level of expertise, also contribute constructive input to University and College policies.
Provide leadership and exemplify an adaptable mindset in support of the entire Academic Operations Team.
Management:
Manage the graduate admissions, recruitment, and retention staff team, including hiring, training, scheduling, feedback, evaluations, payroll and disciplinary processes.
Manage the team budget and be accountable for the performance and results of the team.
Coordinate efforts between the admissions, recruitment, and retention team with the graduate student services staff as well as the broader Academic Operations Team.
Represent and lead the team in discussions with global partners sharing admissions work and delivering the College's graduate programs around the world.
Collect, Analyze, and Utilize Longitudinal Data to Inform Decisions:
Direct and maintain security and privacy of the applicant database and all related records.
Authorize access as appropriate and manage data collection and reporting.
Manage longitudinal data collection for entering classes and student cohorts.
Use data to inform targeting recruiting efforts to meet yearly goals as set by the College's mission and strategic plan.
Review effectiveness of recruiting efforts, advertising work, and related programs.
Ensure integrity of information reported in rankings surveys, accreditation reports, and similar communications.
