Position Summary: The Customer Service Representative role performs a variety of duties in order to support the medical staff and our patients at Integrated Health of Southern Illinois. The position requires excellent customer service skills with patients and a desire to be a team player. Individual must be flexible, organized and able to manage a demanding workload with accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets patients on the telephone, responds to inquiries, directs callers to appropriate personnel, or initiates a task for response by medical personnel and maintains voicemails.
• Handling correspondence and file transfers such as the inflow and outflow of information by assisting with scans, fax, and other internal forms of communication.
• Obtains patient demographic and verifies information as needed updating necessary patient information to meet current Federal guidelines and Meaningful Use guidelines for electronic medical records.
• Collecting balances owed by credit card.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Identifying and resolving minor patient billing complaints.
• Assists other teams, medical receptionist, scheduling as needed.
• Ensures an efficient and professional standard is maintained at all times
• Meets or exceeds organizational goals set forth.
• Other duties assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

Rate of Pay: $15.00/hr minimum- $18.50/ hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 Year experience of Medical Scheduling
• Computer proficiency and 10 Key
• Typing minimum 40 wpm
• Promotes effective communication skills
