The Supervisor is responsible for managing distribution center associates by treating associates and customers like family. This position touches on all aspects of distribution center management allowing the Inventory Supervisor to gain experience to grow to the next level of management. We are aggressively responding to COVID-19: * Take temperatures with a no-touch thermometer at the start of the shift * Increased cleaning routines and periodically deep clean * Provide associates with appropriate PPE that includes masks * Maintain an ample supply of antibacterial lotion throughout the building * Practice social distancing * Expect our associates to maintain cleanliness, social distancing, and use PPE Responsibilities: * Promotes a safe and secure environment for Company associates, temporary employees, and customers' products. * Follows established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. * Investigating inventory discrepancies found through cycle counts and determining root cause of problem. * Identifying any issues with returned shipments, notifying the client, and processing the returned shipments into stock. * Ensuring that all proper written documentation is signed off and filed. * Directing and leading any physical inventories or samplings as requested by the customer to ensure the integrity of the inventory process. * Identifying and researching unique inventory occurrences to correct them prior to having to lock a bay or make an inventory adjustment. * Keeping inventory and customer service Key Performance Data (KPI's) within customer requirements. * Manages key operational requirements within the budget and according to customers' requirements. * Builds a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates and coaching as appropriate. * Lead all customer service requirements for scheduling truck throughput flow and follow up to any receiving or shipping issues. * Coaches and trains associates to become successful and productive including issuance of training, performance plans or counseling as necessary. * Plans, assigns, and supervises work of hourly inventory associates. * Plans, assigns, and supervises work of hourly customer service associates. * Meets and exceeds customer satisfaction through strong understanding of customer expectations. * Addresses and helps resolve customer complaints both verbally and written directly and indirectly to include but not limited to shipping and receiving discrepancies. * Inputs payroll data (hours, comments) for hourly direct reports daily. Must be approved weekly. * Interviews applicants for hourly roles and makes hiring decisions in conjunction with the DCM. * Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, in accordance with Food Safety Guidelines. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities and any other supervisory tasks as assigned in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Benefits: * Medical, Dental, Vision (Options available) * 401K with matching program * STD, LTD * Vacation and sick time * Friendly and Open Door culture * 3 years of supervisory experience in a distribution, 3PL, or warehouse environment. * Bachelor's Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, or general business preferred. * Experience with WMS software required; Manhattan Scale or Red Prairie a plus. * Experience with 5S and continuous improvement programs. * Strong Microsoft Office experience including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Experience with time keeping; ADP E-Time is a plus. * Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. * Able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
