As theGlobal Segment manager Plants & Facilities, you will develop and execute the growth strategy for this segment. You will work with global and regional sales, product management, marketing, technical, and supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities
*Build segment strategy based on understanding of customer needs, industry and competitive dynamics, and PPG position.
*Improve knowledge-base of market landscape including market as a whole, segmentation of market, opportunities for coatings, current competitive landscape, and current PPG business and position within the market.
*Monitor and evaluate industry and competitor developments, marketing actions, products, position, strengths and weaknesses to anticipate competitor response to SBU programs. Analyze competitors' global offerings and strategically position the PPG offerings to succeed.
*Be a central point to coordinate with other responsibilities within business to ensure segment strategies are globally performed.
*Prepare segment targeted value propositions in collaboration with the regional segment, product, testing and certification and technical teams.
*Work with PPG Architectural business to ensure agreement of sustainable building product certifications and driving PMC products through architectural channels.
*Provide in-depth support for regions to identify and pursue opportunities, ensuring training and selling tools relevant to their segments are available and deployed.
*Monitor the pipeline using resources like Salesforce and ensure for key projects.
Qualifications
*Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or related degree.
*At least 3 years' experience in strategy, marketing, engineering, or sales within the chemical industry.
*Proficiency in gathering and analyzing market intelligence.
*Ability to assemble and organize multiple sources of intelligence into a clear market assessment.
