Job Function: Receiving Clerk

Position Overview:

As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our store's operations by ensuring accurate and efficient receipt of merchandise. You will be responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming shipments, recording inventory data, and maintaining a clean and organized receiving area. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of product quality and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

*Receiving and Inspection: *Receive and unload incoming shipments of groceries, produce, and other merchandise. *Inspect items for accuracy, quality, and any damages. *Verify the quantity and quality of products received against purchase orders. *Report discrepancies and damages to the appropriate department. *Manage PO, invoice, and receiving systems. *Coordinate with buyer on all incoming orders and receiving. *Inventory Management: *Accurately record received products into the inventory system. *Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts. *Organize and store received items in designated locations. *Create barcodes of new items and do regular audits of products *Communication: *Collaborate with the purchasing department to resolve discrepancies and issues. *Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory matters. *Safety and Cleanliness: *Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized receiving area. *Dispose of packaging materials and debris appropriately.

Qualifications:

*Strong computer and administration skills is mandatory. *Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is preferred. *Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry. *Strong communication and teamwork skills. *Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks as needed. *Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations is a plus.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $18.00 - $23.00/hour.
