    About the Role:

    The Federal Customer Success Manager (CSM) will play a key role in driving customer success, retention, and subscription expansion within our Public Sector accounts. CSMs at Confluent are high-touch CSMs who join the customer account teams to partner with customers long-term to track customer health, conduct success planning, provide thought leadership and actionable recommendations to customers, and be the voice of the customer within Confluent. The actions of the Federal CSM will improve the customer experience and the health of the Public Sector install base.


    What You Will Do:
    • Meet/exceed quarterly retention targets by proactively engaging with the account portfolio and ensuring renewal activities are completed along with the sales team.

    • Proactively identify areas of account risk and work with Confluent resources to mitigate.
    • Identify and collaborate with the sales team regarding expansion, upsell, and additional service/support opportunities within accounts.
    • Facilitate the engagement of other Confluent resources (e.g. Customer Operations, Customer Success, Sales, Sales Engineering, etc.) to ensure ongoing customer success.
    • Guide adoption practices with the goal of driving increased value realization and decreased time-to-value from Confluentâs solutions.
    • Promote the use of Confluent features and technology.
    • Deliver onsite and remote presentations including Onboarding Guide, Quarterly Business Reviews, Roadmap Sessions, etc. to an Executive audience to drive business value realization and alignment.
    • Support and maintain relationships with key users and decision-makers at assigned customers, keeping them connected to value being added by our products.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to develop and nurture customers to become strong advocates on behalf of Confluent.

    What You Will Bring:
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills

    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude; ability to deal with critical customer situations
    • A Public Sector, mission-oriented focus
    • Love for work in a fast growing and dynamic environment and ability to keep pace with constant change
    • Ability (and willingness) to travel up to 25% of the time to client engagements
    • Proficient English speaking and writing skills are a must
    • US DoD Security clearance, or the ability to obtain

This position has an annual estimated salary of $121,300- $142,560, a competitive equity package and is also eligible for additional commission and/or bonus pay. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits. .
