The opportunity:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented CHB Operations Associate to join our team! As a key point of contact for our clients, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing shipments to ensure service levels are met on a daily basis. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, processing customs entries, and coordinating delivery logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to assigned clients, addressing questions and requests in a timely manner
Process customs entries and OGA for clearance of goods, ensuring compliance with government regulations
Coordinate clearance of shipments with forwarders, Steamship Lines, Airlines, and other stakeholders to ensure timely release
Complete customer billing and reports, meeting KPIs for timely completion
Ensure compliance with OGA regulations, including FDA, F&W, EPA, and FCC
Complete tracking and tracing for inbound shipments
Coordinate delivery for shipments from airline, ocean piers, and CFS to customer/consignee destination
Review entry documentation to ensure compliance with government regulations
Maintain client SOPs and update as needed
We are looking for:
6-12 months of experience in the industry in the United States
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and drive issues to closure
Well-organized and detail-oriented, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Microsoft Excel
Nice to Have:
Experience with customs clearance and OGA regulations
Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry
Customs House Brokerage License preferred but not required

Pay Range: $55,000-$58,000*
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.

The selected candidate will be required to work from our office daily for a period of 3-6 months for comprehensive training and onboarding. During this time, you will receive in-depth training on our systems, processes, and procedures. After this period, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule, where you will work from home 3 days a week and be required to come into the office 2 days a week.
