Job Summary
Under limited supervision of a Head Motor Equipment Repairman or higher classification Supervisor, incumbent performs the duties required to maintain and service all gasoline and diesel motorized equipment and vehicles for various Divisions of the Department of Public Works (Cemetery, Parks, Streets, Wastewater and Water Divisions). Makes roadside assistance calls to repair motorized DPW equipment or vehicles. Position requires extensive overtime in the winter months. Also responsible to oversee and ensure accurate maintenance of records and filing systems and to follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
