    Description
    The Data Analyst is responsible for helping the Court Services Department better serve the community. This Data Analyst job consists of organizing, updating, analyzing, and tracking data about pretrial release and community service to help determine patterns, trends, or areas of concern. The Data Analyst will work with the Court Services management and personnel to present information and provide administrative support.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include, but are not limited to the following:
    • The Data Analyst will work with the Court Services management team and other personnel to present data and provide administrative support.
    • Conducts technical analysis and evaluations of pretrial release and community service data.
    • This crime analyst job consists of organizing, updating, analyzing, and tracking data to help determine patterns, trends, or areas of concern.
    • Research and analyze data using the Internet, software, and internal documents.
    • Assist with the design, testing, and/or maintenance of databases, analytical software, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
    • Attend meetings with Court Services management.
    • Organizes and manages data with strong attention to detail.
    • Disseminates action items to the appropriate entities.
    • Prepare reports, graphs, and statistics based on data.
    • Responsible for handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
    • Other related duties, as assigned.

    Experience

    • Good mathematical ability
    • Strong written communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong computer skills to learn and operate specialized software.
    • Proper practices and methods of data collection, processing, preservation, and retention
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

    Education Required

    One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 6 months related experience in law enforcement or investigative work; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Prior knowledge of the software systems of OLETS and EJYS are highly preferred.
