    Summary

    The Data Warehouse Architect participates in data analysis to ensure the business is provided accurate, consistent, and relevant information with which to make critical business decisions. This position reports to the Manager of Finance.

    Responsible for the design, model, and implementation of data warehousing activities. Program and configure warehouses of database information and provide support to warehouse users.

    Responsible for collecting and analyzing financial, operational, and marketing data and offering detailed analysis and solutions that can be acted upon. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large and disparate data sets to solve complicated problems which often require thinking outside of the box. This will be achieved through developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of our company and the healthcare industry.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
    • Develop database architectural strategies at the modeling, design, and implementation stages to address business or industry requirements.
    • Develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views or related database structures.
    • Assists team members, colleagues, and senior management with their strategic data needs by providing organized and actionable data.
    • Manages, develops, and collaborates with colleagues to accomplish goals in a team driven setting.
    • Responsible for sourcing data from multiple systems for the purposes of reporting and using data aggregation skills to make data reportable and provide actionable insights.
    • Strong business acumen. Financial reporting experience a plus, but not required.
    • Proven ability to manage complex projects to successful completion.
    • Prepare and analyze data to be used in creation of budgets and forecasts for multiple entities. Conduct variance analysis and historical trend analysis on various data sets and operational metrics, including, but not limited to revenue, marketing, and expense drivers.
    • Data aggregation and statistical analysis using standardized data visualization tools and coding languages such as SAS, Tableau, SQL, Python, HTML.
    • Responsible for collaborating with other analytics and reporting colleagues, to develop, test and modify reports, spreadsheets and dashboards as assigned.
    • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of standardized monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including operational, marketing, and financial data.
    • Solicits and supports input from team members at all levels within the organization.
    • Recognizes areas for internal improvement and assists in developing plans for implementation.
    • Ad-Hoc and various other tasks as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics; 3 years’ experience. Master’s degree preferred. Healthcare experience is a plus. Experience with data visualization programs, such as Tableau, is highly desired.


    Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Reasoning Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


    Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong knowledge of data aggregation tools such as Excel and Tableau. Strong knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python and/or Java. Proficient in relevant data management applications.
