Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Position Overview: We are looking for a talented Data Center Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data center technologies, including networking, servers, storage, and virtualization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our data center environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware, including servers, switches, routers, and storage arrays.
    • Monitor data center performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
    • Implement security best practices to protect data center assets from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
    • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to procure equipment and services as needed.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for data center processes and procedures.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data center infrastructure with other systems and applications.
    • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to data center emergencies outside of normal business hours.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
    • years of experience in data center operations and maintenance.
    • Strong knowledge of data center technologies, including networking, servers, storage, and virtualization.
    • Experience with data center management tools and monitoring systems.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for data center design, security, and operations.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Server , or VMware VCP.
    • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
    • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
