Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk - On Site Office Staff
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in an on-site, in-person capacity as an office staff member, fulfilling the role of Accounts Receivable Clerk. This position requires reliability in commuting to our Plainview office and offers flexible hours to accommodate your schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Promptly and accurately process incoming payments.
- Apply payments to customer accounts in our accounting system.
- Proactively monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Generate and send out customer invoices as required.
- Address customer billing inquiries and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct light collections activities, contacting customers regarding overdue payments professionally and respectfully.
- Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and customer communications.
- Answer customer calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering assistance.
- Collaborate with other office staff members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with scheduling and routing technicians for service appointments.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and organizing documents.
Qualifications:
- Must be computer literate and proficient in a windows operating system. All tasks are computer based.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, or a similar financial role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions and data entry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with collections practices and techniques is a plus.
