Data Conversion Analyst jobs in Anchorage, AK

DEFINITION: This is a semi-skilled, part-time position responsible for the room setups, tear downs, and cleaning of the Anchorage Convention Centers meeting rooms and public areas. A Conversion Worker is expected to be able to work without close supervision and to work irregular hours including day or night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

TASKS:

1. Sets-up meeting rooms and lobbies in accordance with the function orders; using stage, chairs, tables, dance floor, etc.

2. Tears down meeting rooms and clean each room after events.

3. Put unused furniture in proper storage rooms and ensures storage rooms are clean and orderly.

4. Assists with garbage collection as needed.

5. Cleans the loading dock daily, after the trash has been picked up.

6. Empties trash receptacles, sweeps and mops-up spills on floors and carpets.

7. Remove snow from sidewalks around buildings, canopy covering sidewalk as needed. Apply ice melt or sand when required.

8. Other duties as assigned, i.e., cleaning restrooms and lobby areas.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of tools, supplies, and methods used in converting meeting rooms

Ability to perform heavy and physically demanding work

Ability to communicate orally and/or in writing

Ability to understand and complete verbal and/or written instruction

Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision

Ability to work in cooperation with others

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma desirable

The above can be met by a combination of education and training or experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which will include weekends and holidays. Work hours may range from very early morning to late night. On rare occasion, must be able to work additional hours, weekends, overnight or extended stays, as business demands, with prior notice. Work is primarily indoors and some outdoor work (such as snow removal and building maintenance) may be required. Environments may range from very warm to freezing. Work will be performed in many different areas of the Centers and off-premises. Work will involve a considerable amount of walking throughout a 100,000 square foot facility, lifting, kneeling, and other high-exertion activities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
