Data Conversion Analyst jobs in Oklahoma

This is a great early career opportunity for a Junior Data Analyst with experience in a health insurance or medical information technology background looking for a new challenge in a non-traditional health plan setting. A publicly traded, Tulsa headquartered energy company that is fully self-insured is looking to add a Data Analyst to its Health Plan Information Technology Department under the supervision of the Health Plan IT Director. The position also has the possibility of expanding into other areas of IT. The Data Analyst will maintain reoccurring reports as required for claims operations and collaboration with supporting departments. Competitive salary and highly competitive benefits. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The items listed below detail some of the assigned duties and responsibilities for this position. This is not meant to be an all-inclusive list and management reserves the right to change these duties at any time.

• Maintain reoccurring reports as required for claims operations and collaboration with supporting departments.
• Import and download data weekly as required by the Claims Dept Managers.
• Export files to vendors as requested by Dept Managers.
• Support the HIS Manager in maintaining SQL jobs and data files for all integrated systems/vendors.
• Responsible for testing all new reports at the direction of the HIS Manager.
• Support system and application training as needed.
• Create knowledge articles and work artifacts in support of department goals defined by the Health Plan IT Director.
• Support and maintain computer equipment as required by IT Leadership
• Learn and support applications as required by IT Leadership

Knowledge and Skills

Required:

• Strong SQL Server database skills, including design of tables, views, procedures, indexes, etc.
• Experience with importing and exporting data using SQL Server, Excel and text files.
  
• Excellent communicator with the ability to work closely with the business to understand issues, and requirements with minimal technical details available.
  
• Use of best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product or services.
  
• Ability to produce data sets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel, PowerBI.
  
• Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
  
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals.
  
• Experience with MS Office products including Excel.
  
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
  

Preferred:

• Microsoft Teams experience including creating custom lists, workflows, etc.
• Healthcare data domain experience or knowledge.

Education and experience:

• Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of experience in data analysis, data visualization and integration or 4 year's experience in data analyisis, data visualization and integration.
• Experience in an IT environment supporting a health plan, health facility or medical insurance desirable but not required.
