Position Summary

The Senior Data Conversion Consultant is part of our Professional Services team and will work with customers to deliver technical solutions to meet customer needs.  This position requires a solid understanding of Student Information Systems, specifically focused in one of the four areas: Registration, Advising and Student Life; Admissions and Financial Aid; Alumni and Development; Business Office and Human Resources.

This role is central to the coordination of efforts to guide clients through the best way to transform their data through data conversion.  This role will work with customers to map legacy data to the Jenzabar software and will need to be fully knowledgeable of application and database constraints and requirements.  This role will create the SQL conversion scripts in accordance with the data mapping document and perform the data conversion passes. The position calls for flexibility in creating requirements / specifications as well as utilizing technical skills.

Essential Tasks 

• Design and develop mapping document for client legacy data transformation (conversion) 
• Analyze data requirements and recognize alternative solutions that may be more efficient or effective for client 
• Analyze data and develop scripts to transform data (conversion)
• Develop test transactions and use cases to verify the results of the data transformation (conversion) 
• Initiate change request orders, as changes to the code and mapping are requested for the project
• Work with the project team to improve data conversion process and streamline customer experience
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Skills and Experience 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for customer success
• Over 6 years’ experience working at an Accredited College/University or in Higher Education Market.  
• SQL Server experience, specifically T-SQL programming experience
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively and independently in an atmosphere of multiple projects
• Must have excellent team building and problem-solving skills with comfortability working in a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to be innovative, creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box when problem-solving.
• Experience with Jenzabar One experience is Required
  

The pay range for this position is $58,000-79,000k/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
