Position: Data Entry Clerk

Summary

• This position will assist with managing inventory through data entry, communications with customers, suppliers, and carriers, analyze customer orders, create reports, filing and other administrative duties as required.

Essential duties

• Assist with managing inventory control. Enter and prepare documents for orders. Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals. Provide services to customers, such as order placement and account information. Operate office equipment such as fax machine, copier, adding machine and the use computers for data entry and other applications.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic computer skills, basic math skills – ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The individual should be able to follow specific direction and work independently when needed. Have good communication skills, be able to read and write basic sentences. Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers and customers. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, preferably an individual that is personable.

Important for individual to be timely and able to come at least 15 to 20 mins before the office opens to be ready for suppliers and carriers.

This is a full-time position. Normal working hours are from 7:00am until 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

Periodic overtime will be required, and this position typically works 40-43 hours per week.
