Scope of Position: Conduct intensive initial assessments that will identify skills, including skills acquired during military services, to broaden the employment opportunities explored and ensure that initial employment opportunities are maximized.
Essential Functions:
· Provide one-on-one assessments and advisement to all participants, including resume review and mock interview sessions
· Provide short, intermediate and long-term career planning, coaching and advancement strategies
· Facilitate individual monthly and group cohort based coaching sessions and workshops
· Conduct assessments to determine skills for skills gap training opportunities
· Increase outreach, follow-up and ongoing engagement
· Collaborate with Specialists and other onsite resources, regarding workshops for employment, training and/or supportive services for veterans, including the Sector-Focused Career Centers, Individual Training Grants, and recruitment for trainings in high-growth sectors
· Inform candidates about public and private education, training, and benefits for veterans
· Ensure proper collection, data entry and reporting of all required information in accordance with applicable policies
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts
· Demonstrated telephone, computer, and written communication skills
· Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
· College degree or equivalent experience required
· Customer service experience preferred
· A working knowledge of MS Office
· Valid driver’s license and an automobile are required
