Position Summary: The Data Analyst is responsible for the support of data across multiple enterprise applications ensuring data integrity across all systems.  The Data Analyst builds and supports data integration across various systems and platforms.  This individual has strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving ability, and good customer service skills. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides technical expertise and recommends solutions by defining data modeling and functional capabilities as well as ensuring data is consistent across all sources.
• Writes scripts for importing and exporting data into enterprise applications, maintaining the integrity of the data across the applications.
• Uses report writing tools to extract data and share information for automated reporting in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Writes documentation to describe scripts, schema changes, reports, and coding for all supported databases.
• Manages and designs the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
• Keeps abreast of the computer industry by reading professional journals, attending seminars and conferences etc.
• Always strives to meet corporate goals and looks for opportunities to use technology to do so.
• Supports the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong technical and problem solving and reasoning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with people in a professional and courteous manner.
• Computer skills:
  • Windows PC, Server, and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Progress, Microsoft SQL, MSSQL and Access databases
  • Familiarity with programming language SQL, Visual Basic, Progress scripts
• Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
• Understanding of database schema and query toolset.
• Proficiency in database administration, management, data import/export, and developing reports.
• Ability to work efficiently, shift priorities, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of information.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• 1-2 years of experience with SQL Queries, Stored procedures, views, and functions required.
