Position Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst to provide subject matter expertise in data analysis for the implementation, execution, and evaluation of a technology-centric protocol pilot study to evaluate the efficacy of mobile apps in addressing suicide across our active-duty military members and veterans. This role involves monitoring pilot progress, evaluating outcomes, and employing validated measures to collect and analyze data from various stakeholders and behavioral health providers. This is a hybrid position requiring at least one on-site day per week in Silver Spring, MD. Candidates should reside within a commutable distance.
The pilot study was designed based on validated research findings (evidence-based). Its objective is to translate research findings into practice using an evidence-based dissemination and implementation approach that directly engages senior enterprise leaders, clinic leaders, champions, and providers in piloting evidence-based or promising practices, programs, and policies. The outcomes of the study will be used to inform the effective implementation of selected apps into behavioral health care, advance accessibility and efficacy of care, apply and advance implementation science, and provide education to engage use of mobile apps throughout the care continuum and in the non-clinical community in an effort to improve resilience, reduce stigma, reduce suicide, and promote psychological health
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide data analysis expertise to develop or assist in creating detailed analysis plans that align with intended program outcomes and metrics.
- Map analysis plans to appropriate analytic approaches and strategies to ensure accurate and meaningful data interpretation.
- Execute or assist with data analysis ensuring the delivery of high-quality, de-identified analytic datasets, data dictionaries, and coding syntax.
- Monitor the progress of the pilot study and evaluate outcomes related to the socio-technical integration of mobile health into clinical care.
- Identify trends, correlations, and insights that inform the effectiveness and impact of mobile health interventions.
- Provide regular reports and updates on pilot progress and outcomes.
- Employ validated measures and develop evidence-informed surveys to collect both quantitative and qualitative data from behavioral health providers and site leaders.
- Design and implement data collection protocols that ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
- Analyze survey data to provide actionable insights that guide the implementation and improvement of mobile health integration.
- Ensure that all data collection and analysis activities comply with relevant ethical and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- At least 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a public health, healthcare, or behavioral health setting.
- Strong expertise in developing and executing detailed analysis plans.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and licensure requirements related to data collection and analysis.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Beneficial Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a federal contractor.
- Experience working with healthcare or public health data, particularly in mental health or mobile health integration.
- Knowledge of military health systems or veteran populations.
- Familiarity with socio-technical systems and their application in healthcare settings.
