Data Scientist identifies trends, patterns, and anomalies found in big data sets by performing extensive data analysis to develop insights. Performs data mining, cleaning, and aggregation processes to prepare data, implement data models, conduct analysis, and develop databases. Being a Data Scientist interprets results from multiple structured and unstructured data sources using programming, statistical, and analytical techniques and tools. Collaborates with teams to understand each data analysis projects' underlying purpose, focus, and objectives. Additionally, Data Scientist designs, develops, and implements the most valuable data-driven solutions for the organization. May require a master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Data Scientist work is closely managed.     Job Description

    • Use data analysis to assist management in the decision making process for business development, pricing, operational process enhancements.
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets.
    • Assist our product managers with data and technology requirements needed to perform their daily tasks.
    • Design and implement reporting solutions to reassure process improvements.
    • Provide assistance and QA on process automation (scripts) running in our geo offices.
    • Demonstrate our Company’s performance through the creation of powerful, meaningful, and professional looking reports and dashboards.
    • Create ad hoc repots based on business needs.
    • Assist with the development of internal tools to enhance workflows that drive the business processes.
    • Create reports and dashboards that are reusable, user friendly, professional looking, and which can be presented.
    • Ensure developed tools are scalable to different products and customer requirements.
    • Help quantify the productivity results of each solution or tool created.
    • Collaborate with peers in IS, Geo regions, products, and externally on the best practices and technology solutions.
    • Assist corporate IS to ensure that the tools and processes designed are aligned with the core systems and are developed properly on a scalable level.
    • Provide reports for development using Structured Query Language (SQL) to query data from multiple sources.
    • Responsible for the creation and execution of development plans for new employees.
    • Direct reporting and mentorship for new employees.
    • Contribute to strategic discussions in planning program roadmaps, including team resource management and program maturation.
    • Responsible for the execution of program roadmaps through the year.
    • Work with the team program coordinator to identify areas of opportunity for team improvements.

    Qualifications

    Position requires a Master’s degree in Information Management, Analytics, or a related field of study, AND Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.

    Applicants must also have demonstrated experience with the following: SQL; Using R or Python for analysis; ETL processes; PowerBI; DAX; Data Visualization; Business Intelligence; Machine Learning; Statistics; and Communicating ideas and processes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Additional Information

    Salary range for position: $127,795.00 and $132,795.00 per year.

    Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

    Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
