Data Scientist identifies trends, patterns, and anomalies found in big data sets by performing extensive data analysis to develop insights. Performs data mining, cleaning, and aggregation processes to prepare data, implement data models, conduct analysis, and develop databases. Being a Data Scientist interprets results from multiple structured and unstructured data sources using programming, statistical, and analytical techniques and tools. Collaborates with teams to understand each data analysis projects' underlying purpose, focus, and objectives. Additionally, Data Scientist designs, develops, and implements the most valuable data-driven solutions for the organization. May require a master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Data Scientist work is closely managed. POSITION SUMMARY:The Data Scientist role is responsible for deriving valuable insights from data extracted from diverse sources, building machine learning models AI applications. The desired candidate will possess strong analytical and technical skills as well as exhibit self-motivation. Proficiency in Python programming and a solid understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) are essential. This individual will be working with cutting-edge technologies using machine learning and Generative AI models to enhance our company’s automation and drive smarter recoveries, controls, analytics, and working capital.
Responsibilities- Comprehend business problems and devise data-driven solutions.
- Extract text data from various sources, clean and preprocess for NLP/machine learning applications.
- Design and Develop NLP solutions for business applications, which may include text-based chatbots, classification tasks, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, and more.
- Collaborate with the data science and automation teams to implement and deploy scalable solutions.
- Conduct research on new NLP techniques and methods to improve existing systems.
- Perform data analysis using structured and unstructured data and build data analytics solutions.
- Work closely with the data engineers to build data pipelines and manage datasets.
- Produce technical documentation and manage version control.
Qualifications
A minimum of 1 year work or research experience in data science, machine learning or related job setting.
Education Levels- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s or PhD in quantitative fields is also acceptable with relevant work or research experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
- Proficient in Python programming, with experience in data analysis libraries (like pandas, NumPy), NLP libraries (like NLTK, Spacy), and GenAI-related libraries (like Langchain, Llama-index).
- A Strong Foundational knowledge in Statistics and Data Analysis.
- Familiarity with Natural Language Processing workloads and tasks.
- Experience in working with Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Experience with the Azure Machine Learning and AI Services.
- Querying and Manipulating Data using SQL.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms and principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various teams.
Nice to Have- Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience working in Linux server environment.
- Knowledge of Container Applications using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
