Data Scientist identifies trends, patterns, and anomalies found in big data sets by performing extensive data analysis to develop insights. Performs data mining, cleaning, and aggregation processes to prepare data, implement data models, conduct analysis, and develop databases. Being a Data Scientist interprets results from multiple structured and unstructured data sources using programming, statistical, and analytical techniques and tools. Collaborates with teams to understand each data analysis projects' underlying purpose, focus, and objectives. Additionally, Data Scientist designs, develops, and implements the most valuable data-driven solutions for the organization. May require a master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Data Scientist work is closely managed.     Key responsibilities

    Establish a clear map of all data generated by the equipment and systems available at Project M

    Establish requirements for an integrated data warehouse and associated business intelligence tool

    Identify valuable insights from mathematical or statistical treatment of available post go live as designed in the data warehouse

    In collaboration with APMT Global Technical Function, Local IT and Program, deploy available predictive models and tools Project M for both Operations and Technical functions

    Apply deep learning, machine learning and text analytics approaches to solve critical business problems

    Deliver visualization models to improve Project M solutions (CIS/OCR/Horizontal Transport) to gain additional efficiency on STS crane cycles and AutoSC cycles

    Main primary areas of improvement expected from this position (in collaboration with the relevant function):
    • Motion and flow analytics: traffic analysis AutoSC and STS; increasing equipment efficiency, increase safety of driving patterns, optimize speed and energy consumption
    • Optimization of automated (AutoSC/TEL) and manual cycles
    • Predictive analysis; forecasted process performance leading to optimized asset deployment
    • Pilot to pilot timing: predicting asset and gang deployment
    • Solution Design Improvement

    PURPOSE:
    This position develop and apply cutting-edge knowledge of date science related methods and tools to provide predictive analytics of AS IS processes and consequently support the prioritization of improvement areas in Operations and Technical with the purpose of achieving the targeted productivity and costs targets during the Project M ramp and beyond.

    Our ideal candidate will possess the following experience and education:

    Education – M.Sc. degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics or related field
    Experience – More than 5 years of experience in industry building data science models and solutions, ideally for an industrial company. Previous experience in manufacturing or oil & gas industry is an advantage
    Accountability - Ability to set operational plans with short-term impact by maintaining standards that lead to high performance and execution.
    Agility - Ability to modify important changes rapidly.
    Collaboration - Ability to exchange and adapt skills when working together across boundaries.
    Functional Excellence -a background or profile in quantitative methods, predictive modelling, statistics or similar.
    Established work authorization.
