We prefer someone with experience working in a childcare center and experience working with preschool and school age children including lesson planning, outside class activities, and supervising children ages 2-12 years old.
Pay Rate depends on experience. 1-2 year if experience starting at $18 , 2-3 years of experience starting at $19 more that 3 years experience $20 per hour.
Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to each student
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Conduct assessments to track student progress
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Implement early intervention strategies when necessary
- Incorporate physical education activities into daily routines
- Deliver and Pick up School Age children from local Elementary Schools
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and understanding towards young learners
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Familiarity with daycare regulations and licensing requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Previous experience working as a Preschool Teacher or in a similar role
- 12 ECE units required
