DEALER deals a variety of games such as poker, craps, blackjack, baccarat, and roulette. Manipulates cards, dice, chips, and gaming devices such as roulette wheels and craps sticks. Being a DEALER handles player transactions, notifies pit supervisor of any irregularities or disputes that may arise during the game. Accepts bets, pays winners and collects from non-winners. Additionally, DEALER may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The DEALER may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Job Summary: Responsible for the overall direction of the Table Games unit assigned. Responsible for the integrity of the game, correct player rating and marker issues/collections.
Qualifications: One-year College or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training. Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Must have the ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently. Knowledge and understanding of Currency Transaction Reporting.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the operation and conduct of a particular table game
Exchanges currency for gaming chips and pays or collects bets according to house rules
When assigned to the Floor Supervisor position, is responsible for all table game’s integrity
Promotes positive customer relations
Oversees Dealers within assigned area
May perform other duties as assigned
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Must be able to obtain and maintain an Indiana Gaming license
