    The Director of Dealer Development at LakeEze is a pivotal role responsible not only for expanding our dealer network but also for overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the continued success of our existing dealers. This individual will develop and execute strategic plans to grow our dealer base, while also nurturing and servicing our current dealers, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need to thrive. The Director of Dealer Development is accountable for building strong relationships, managing dealer communications, coordinating orders, and providing ongoing education and support to maintain high levels of dealer satisfaction. This role is critical in ensuring that LakeEze remains an industry leader in providing innovative lake dock accessories.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Dealer Network Expansion and Development:

    • Identify, research, and target potential dealers within specific regions or markets.
    • Establish initial contact with potential dealers, perform product demonstrations, and explain the unique benefits of the LakeEze product line.
    • Strategically select and sign new dealers to expand LakeEze’s reach in the market.
    • Continuously monitor and assess the dealer network to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.


    Relationship Building and Dealer Support:

    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with dealers, providing ongoing support and ensuring their satisfaction with the product and service.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all dealer-related inquiries, addressing concerns, providing product updates, and ensuring expectations are consistently met.
    • Collaborate with dealers to understand their business needs and challenges and provide solutions to enhance their sales and operations.


    Sales Strategy and Execution:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed assigned business targets.
    • Regularly review sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and take action to address any issues or challenges.
    • Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activities, using this information to adjust sales strategies as needed.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.


    Product Demonstrations and Training:

    • Schedule and conduct product demonstrations for potential dealers, showcasing the benefits and features of LakeEze products.
    • Provide training and educational resources to dealers to ensure they are well-equipped to sell and promote the products.
    • Develop training materials and conduct workshops or seminars as needed to enhance dealer knowledge and performance.


    Order Management and Fulfillment:

    • Create and process all dealer orders from start to finish. This includes entering sales orders, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining up-to-date records.
    • Manage and coordinate all logistics related to freight-based shipments, including scheduling, communication with shipping companies, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
    • Maintain clear and consistent communication with dealers regarding their orders, providing updates, tracking information, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the shipping process.
    • Work closely with the production team to ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, keeping dealers informed of any delays or changes.
    • Address and resolve any order-related issues, including troubleshooting delays, damaged shipments, or incorrect orders, ensuring that dealer expectations are met and exceeded.


    Industry Events and Trade Shows:

    • Represent LakeEze at industry trade shows, conferences, and events, networking with potential dealers and maintaining relationships with existing partners.
    • Organize and attend dealer meetings, both virtually and in-person, to foster strong relationships and ensure ongoing collaboration.
    • Travel to dealer locations and industry events as required to maintain and grow the dealer network.


    Reporting and Analysis:

    • Create and maintain accurate records of all dealer interactions, sales activities, and performance metrics.
    • Generate and submit weekly and monthly sales reports to management, providing insights and recommendations for future strategies.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying trends and areas for improvement to drive continuous growth.


    Collaboration and Cross-Departmental Coordination:

    • Partner with directors and leaders in other departments, such as marketing, production, and logistics, to ensure alignment on strategies and objectives.
    • Provide input on marketing strategies to target specific regions or demographics, based on dealer feedback and market research.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate pricing, billing, and payment processes for dealers.


    Skills and Qualifications:

    Communication:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with dealers, team members, and industry partners.
    • Ability to clearly convey product features, benefits, and technical details to diverse audiences.


    Industry Knowledge:

    • While prior knowledge of the lake dock accessories industry is not required, the ability to quickly learn and adapt to this industry is essential. Candidates without marine-based industry experience must demonstrate strong sales field experience.
    • Adaptability: Must be able to rapidly acquire knowledge about industry trends, competitors, and market demands, using this information to effectively drive sales strategies and support dealer relationships.
