Dean of Communications manages administrative functions of the college of communications. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Communications leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Communications requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Communications manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Communications typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Monitor attendance and develop interventions to support student attendance.

    Monitor student behavior and develop interventions to support positive student behaviors.

    Facilitate the schools' PBiS system.

    Actively participate in and facilitate the attendance and behavior portions of EBIS & behavior team meetings, working closely with teachers to increase attendance and support more positive behaviors.

    Support and enhance family involvement at Conger

    Other duties as assigned.


    Requirements:

    Hold or qualify for an Oregon teaching license through Teacher Standards and

    Practices Commission with an ECE/ELE endorsement.

    ESOL endorsement preferred.


    Salary:
    $48,194.58-$89,454.48 DOE, prorated based upon start date.


    $5000 signing bonus for all new hire teachers that are appropriately licensed and endorsed, paid over three years (prorated based upon start date).
