Dean of Dentistry jobs in Hawaii
Dean of Dentistry manages administrative functions of the college of dentistry. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Dentistry leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Dentistry requires an advanced degree of dentistry. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Dentistry manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Dentistry typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Our Pediatric dental practice is looking to hire a full time dental or orthodontic assistant. Experience is preferred, but not required. The main quality we are looking for is an employee who works hard, works well with others and cares about making children comfortable.
Unlike other offices where 1 assistant will see a full schedule of patients, we have 2 assistants so each assistant will see half of the patients on the Dentist's schedule.
Our office operates 4 days a week and alternates working half-day Saturdays. Working 4 days out of the week provides a lot of flexibility to our lives however, working an extra day is an option.
Office hours are 7:30-5pm on weekdays and 7am- 1:30pm on Saturdays.
Pay will be based on experience, growth potential and dedication to our practice.
What sets our practice a part from other offices is the work-life balance that is needed for our health and wellness in today's world. We close our office between Christmas and New years for family time and support employees with their family/children's school events.
