Dean of Dentistry manages administrative functions of the college of dentistry. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Dentistry leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Dentistry requires an advanced degree of dentistry. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Dentistry manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Our privately owned, fee-for-service dental practice is seeking a full-time dental treatment coordinator to welcome new patients to our office, and to propose and explain treatments to new and existing patients. In this role, it will be critical to understand patient dental needs along with their concerns, and to be willing to educate patients in regard to their treatment and to support our dentist’s diagnosis.
In a sense, you’ll be the voice and face of our practice. Answering calls from new patients and scheduling appointments for them, making them feel welcome in our office, and explaining treatment in a way that’s understandable and informative.
Other Treatment Coordinator responsibilities include arranging financial agreements, scheduling treatment, and preparing paperwork needed for successful and legal tracking of treatment and finances. Our TC will be responsible for daily financial outcomes related to scheduling and collections on new treatment.
