Dean of Dentistry manages administrative functions of the college of dentistry. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Dentistry leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Dentistry requires an advanced degree of dentistry. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Dentistry manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Qualifications:
Prior Dental Assistant experience - 2 years preferred
Licensed EFDA
Sealant Certified
X-ray certified
Strong interpersonal/relationship skills

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Dental software knowledge is helpful
Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service, excellent chair side manner
Assist the doctors with all dental procedures
Keep treatment rooms stocked, neat and organized
Be efficient, be present, engaged, ready to work at all assigned shift times
Maintain a high standard of clean treatment rooms and office
Review patient chart prior to start of day
Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
Follow organizations safety policies and procedures
Have knowledge and understanding of dental terminology
Verify patient health history
Assist with other office duties as requested or needed
Maintain strict compliance with State and Federal regulations
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30 am- 5:30 pm & Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm
Compensation: $30,000-$45,000 depending on PT/FT, experience, and benefits enrolled in (health insurance, dental insurance, 401k)
