The Student Senate of the State University of New York College at Delhi is seeking an experienced individual to manage the operations of the Farrell Art Center and advise the Fine Arts Club. The incumbent is expected to have a general and wide range of experience in the fine arts with an ability to teach and guide students of varying levels of proficiency. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Keeping inventory (separate Student Senate-purchased supplies,) keeping the Art Center clean, organized and tidy for both club/student use and also for any classes. Holding stand-alone workshops and collaborative events with other campus groups on clay work, printmaking, drawing, painting, crafting, etc. The advisor role includes fostering good group development and advising the student leaders of the Fine Arts Club. This position also includes leading periodic day trips for the club. The incumbent will also supervise one-two student employees.
Responsibilities:
Provide ten hours per week of service to the position including some evening hours TBD
Supervising and overseeing the operations of the Farrell Art Center
Advise the Fine Arts Club
Hold workshops for students on campus and collaborate with other groups on art programming in the Center
Attend any required student organization advisor training
Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts/Art or equivalent
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be comfortable learning and using basic computer software for managing/processing event, meeting and purchase request submissions for club.
Must have prior experience and knowledge with using and maintaining a kiln.
Must have the ability to work some evenings.
Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a basic driver history background check.

Compensation:
2023-24 FY compensation of $7,349.33 paid incrementally in bi-weekly form over the course of the Academic Year - September to Mid-May.
