Learning Objectives
Greeting clients, determining their purpose in visiting (information gathering, scheduling, triaging questions and requests for assistance), assisting them in their individual needs. Will serve the campus Liberal Arts office and occasionally the Writing Center, their staff, faculty and students. Will provide the student worker an opportunity to learn the operations of a professional center within the College, learn to complete assigned tasks on time and to assume additional responsibilities. When opportunities arise, the student worker may have interactions with faculty to highlight the techniques and strategies used in their work with students.
Objectives will target verbal and written communication skills, technology and organizational skills.
