Dean of Fine Arts manages administrative functions of the college of fine arts. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Fine Arts leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Fine Arts Internship Opportunities - Unpaid

Internship Opportunities:
Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (CHCA) Fine Arts is committed to providing an internship experience that will acquaint students/recent graduates with a professional working environment, while providing hands-on experience in fine arts education and theatre program management. Internships are unpaid.
Types of Internships:
A variety of internships are offered by CHCA Fine Arts. Each internship differs and the time commitment varies depending on the specific internship. The following internships are available in the following areas:
#1 - Marketing, Social Media, and Communications: Assist with developing the social media presence, and communications efforts for CHCA Fine Arts and its events. Duties may include video production, video, and photo library maintenance, contributing to social media presence, graphic creation, website, and email blasts. Additional duties include assisting with grassroots marketing efforts, media operations for CHCA Fine Arts, and event support.
#2 - Event Operations: Assist with the planning and coordination of events. Duties include event operations and administration, database entry, logistics, participant services, ticketing, registration, volunteer recruitment and management, hospitality, meeting planning, and general support.
#3 - Video Production Assistant:The duties of the Video Production Assistant include, but are not limited to, training and working with student volunteers to capture live events (theater, vocal and instrumental concerts, special events, etc.), as well as clipping and/or editing video from those events for archival purposes, as well as occasional distribution in the form of BluRays. The ideal candidate is familiar with Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop, and is detail oriented, making sure the quality of the recording is the best it can be, which includes audio, color balancing, and so on. Other than attending the events and potentially some rehearsals, the job is flexible as far as hours are concerned, if deadlines are being met.
#4 - Theatre Costume Design Assistant: The primary responsibility of an Assistant Costume Designer is to support the Costume Designer on a project. Duties include, but are not limited to, working with volunteers (adults and students) in creating concepts, fitting the actors, assisting in the production of the costumes, researching costuming needs, organizing the dressing rooms, and overseeing the budgetary aspects of costume production. Hours range from weekdays to occasional evenings and weekends as dictated by the production schedule.
#5 - Scene Shop Assistant (August - April): Job duties include but are not limited to: leading volunteers (adults and students) in the construction of scenery for theatre productions, upkeep of shop and theatre spaces, and possible technical crew assistance. The duties of this job are frequently laborious and messy. All responsibilities will be assigned by the technical director or Fine Arts Director, including adherence to all rules and regulations of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy and scene shop safety protocol. Candidates must be able to safely operate scene shop power tools, work with measuring tapes and rulers, be able to add, subtract and divide fractions in 1/2, 1/8" and 1/16" increments, be able to lift 75 pounds, able to climb ladders and work at heights, and possess a positive attitude. Punctuality and preparedness are expected. Hours are generally afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.
Requirements:
Any undergraduate or graduate student who is currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university. All interns must pass a background check and be fingerprinted.

#2 Spring Semester Internship Dates: January 8, 2024 - April 30, 2024
#3 Summer Internship Dates: May 1, 2024 - August 9, 2024
