ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Dean of Teaching, Learning, and Success Programs.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the Dean serves as both a line and staff officer and is directly responsible to the Chief Academic Officer. This Dean manages the activities of the assigned functions within the College’s prescribed administrative, personnel, budgetary and contractual policies to ensure that services in support of quality instruction is provided to all students. Helping students learn through the effective and efficient administration and management of the assigned division is the most significant role of a Dean. This position administers, manages, and evaluates the college’s Outcomes Assessment, Faculty Development, Distance Education, Success Centers, and Testing Centers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master’s degree required in a major appropriate to the functions of planning, organizing, leading and evaluation of learning resource support services.
2. Minimum of five (5) years of professional higher education experience in learning resource management required.
3. Requires a high level of interpersonal skills, analytical skills and the ability to prepare concise reports.
4. Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and quality improvement programs preferred.
5. Successful experience in staffing, evaluation and leadership.
6. Demonstrated experience with program-level review and/or accreditation is preferred.
7. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
SALARY: Salary Grade 9 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $95,674 to $114,665 per year.
