Administrative Assistant – Legal
Degree required:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelor degree (Preferred)

Work experience:

• Minimum two years of work experience in an administrative role

Job functions:

• Handling incoming and outbound calls
• Arranging calendars
• Coordinating meetings and appointments
• Point of contact for clients, vendors, agents, clerks and attorneys
• Drafting legal documents
• Handling billing, invoicing, payments and receipts.
• Witnessing client documents
• Printing, copying and scanning documents
• Requesting medical records
• Maintain client communications
• Preparing outgoing correspondence
• Monitoring and posting on the firms social media
• Researching vendors, products and services as needed

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Positive Attitude
• Applicant must have strong organizational skills, self-motivated, follow instructions, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Proficient in SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, PowerPoint, etc.
• Solid customer service skills
• Independent worker with attention to detail.
• Experience with Florida E-portal and court docket websites a plus.
• Working knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Statutes, and E-filing
• High degree of professionalism and discretion in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

Details

• Starting pay based on experience.
• On-site office hours Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Must have reliable transportation
• Exemplary tenure with previous employers and must pass a criminal background check

Physical demands

• Must be able to comfortably go up and down stairs
• Must be able to carry approximately 25 lbs on occasion
